'chiku chiku laboratory'
We have long created hand-made works and self-binding books in collaboration with authors (artists), for which we finally bought a used industrial sewing machine in 2006. Since then, wrestling with this old, stubborn machine, we have bound books, sewn up bags and envelopes, made stitches on postcards and at times posters, and somewhere along the line we started to call this hand-made workshop "chiku chiku laboratory" ("chiku-chiku" is a Japanese word representing the sound of sewing).
In an easygoing manner, chiku-chiku lab. remains producing small-copied works little by little.
